Marilyn’s Melrose Inn

Each day will be filled with joy, fun, and decadent meals–Marilyn is a gourmet chef. Her class motto is, “If you are not having fun, then you are not doing it right!” Productivity, creative challenges, and riotous learning will be the signatures of every day together. Evenings are not about quilting, yet they are action packed with interactive events that will touch, move, and inspire. The evening programs will enrich and reward your personal life for years to come. Plus you get to meet and make new friends and talk with other quilters.

Space is limited; only 8 private bedrooms with private baths are available for each week in 2011; please respond quickly! All retreats are eight (8) days and all-inclusive; transportation to and from the airport (GSP, Greenville, SC and AVL, Asheville, NC), all meals, beverages, entertainment, evening activities, and field trips are included, plus there are many extra surprises!

Bed & Breakfast and Retreat Center

Join Marilyn Doheny in her new Marilyn’s Melrose Inn and Artist Retreat Center in North Carolina. That’s right, she has moved from Seattle. Marilyn bought the Melrose Inn in November 2009 and moved from Seattle to Tryon, NC in January 2010. She is fulfilling a long-term dream by opening her own inn and artist retreat center. You too can have a dream come true for yourself by attending one of Marilyn’s retreats.

The Melrose Inn is a very historic building, built in 1889. Marilyn has been extensively repairing, renovating, and decorating it to make her lifetime dream and vision a reality. It’s a gorgeous bed and breakfast that will make you feel comfortable, relaxed, and energized for learning.

You can spend an entire week or two being dynamically creative and wildly productive. Marilyn, as you probably know, is a long time professional quilter, author, lecturer, and judge with over 30 years experience. She is internationally famous and her reputation for a one-day class is that they are “over the top.” Just imagine what a full week with her will be like!
