Marilyn’s Melrose Inn

Extensive common areas available for entertaining, relaxing, and socializing include the dining room, game room, artists’ room, bar, and gift shop. Outside amenities include our lavish covered deck, terraced gardens with pond, and large rock fireplace.

 

Special dietary needs and preferences are gladly met with advanced notification. Name of guest, phone number, and details of dietary considerations must be provided upon reservation prior to check in, so that we are prepared to serve you properly.

 

Breakfast is available for all overnight guests to fit your schedule, whatever the time. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate or other seasonal beverages are available 6:30 a.m. till 9 at night.

 

Art Studio Room:  The art studio workroom is 40’ X 40’ and on the main level. It is full of natural light and has more than adequate overhead lighting. Work studio has 15 - 19 huge individual tables with nice comfortable chairs.

 

Additional guest amenities are all free:  relaxing and quality down time, reading for fun, bird watching all of our local feather friends, and solo meditation!

 

There is a long, multi-terraced outdoor garden with a small pond you can visit and enjoy; it is not wheelchair accessible.

 

We have an old-fashioned, friendliness-promoting, ample, open front porch that quickly becomes the gathering place for all guests. Come sit, visit, or just watch the beautiful natural world we have here in Tryon.

 

The building is wired for Wi-Fi for all guests and there is no charge.

 

Ample guest parking is included at no extra charge.

 

Pets - We all love them, and we allow you to keep your small dog in your room with you. Just mention it when you make your reservation or before you check in.

 

 

 

 

Bed & Breakfast and Retreat Center

Due to the fact that the inn is designed for relaxation and down time, there is no television available for guests. We have a good library, beautiful small town streets to walk, restaurants and entertainment within just minutes of the inn, and the goal is making the Melrose Inn your quiet, relaxing haven in a hectic world.

 

Our facility is 100% smoke free. No smoking is allowed on the premises or the property, even the deck or the gardens. Guests and their friends who would like to smoke are encouraged to visit either of two wonderful outdoor public parks located literally just a few feet away from the inn.
